The School Specialty Promise Program
Committing Both Time and Money to Schools Across the Nation

School Specialty has developed a unique way of providing support for schools. The School Specialty Promise Program encourages associates to engage directly with schools and students by offering paid time off up to 24 hours, or three full days each year to help students and teachers in a variety of classroom support roles. Through the program, our associates volunteer to chaperone field trips, read to students in Head Start classrooms, help teachers with paperwork, and participate in student discussion groups.

In addition, monetary donations by associates given to selected school activities are matched dollar for dollar by the company up to $1,000 per year. Associates are also able to purchase School Specialty products with an Associate Discount and donate these items to the school of their choice.

School Specialty also partners with a non-profit organization to promote school donations nation-wide and on a local level, supports back-to-school efforts by donating classroom supplies to needy students.
