Reporting to the VP HR, Educational Resources located in Greenville, WI (headquarters), the HR Manager in Mansfield serves as the sole HR contact for the location. The responsibilities of this role are as follows: - Manages and organizes all site recruitment, including seasonal hiring of 250-300 associates for the summer busy season.
- Deploys and supports corporate initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement, recognition, compensation programs .
- Interpret, communicate and support policies and procedures
- Active role in supporting safety related matters, oversight of workers compensation reporting and other initiatives supporting the wellbeing of our associates
- Collaborate with local management on business decisions related to human capital issues
- Responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and on-going maintenance of employee relations, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affirmative Action Plan for assigned group.
- Maintain knowledge of federal and state/province HR policies, programs, laws and issues for the US and/or Canada or any other specified location for which position is responsible for supporting.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining data in systems such as payroll, HRIS, excel spreadsheets or other databases as assigned for location.
- Participate on short term and long term HR-related projects and serve as an active member of the Corporate HR team.
Requirements -
Bachelor's Degree required -
4-6 years of HR generalist experience required -
Knowledge of human resources laws and practices and general principles of human resource administration, specifically in safety, workman's comp and recruitment. -
Prior experience working in a distribution center environment preferred. -
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management and associates -
Ability to persuade through consensus building -
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills -
